Heparin Sodium Vacuum Blood Collection Tube

The medical vacuum blood collection tube containing lithium heparin is designed for rapid plasma separation. By introducing heparin into the tube, this product achieves direct antithrombin activity and effectively extends the coagulation time of blood samples.

It is widely used in emergency departments and routine biochemical analyses, including examinations of liver function, renal function, blood lipids, and blood glucose. The tube is also suitable for red blood cell fragility testing, blood gas analysis, hematocrit measurement, erythrocyte sedimentation rate testing, and general biochemical assays. It can support hemorheological examinations and yields plasma samples.

However, this type of tube is not recommended for coagulation function tests. Excessive heparin may cause white blood cell aggregation, making it unsuitable for white blood cell counting. In addition, heparin may leave a light blue background on blood smears, so it is not ideal for white blood cell classification. After blood collection, the tube should be gently inverted and mixed 5 to 8 times immediately, and the upper-layer plasma can be used for testing.
