Pen Barrel Lancet

Pen barrel lancets are disposable venous blood collection devices used in conjunction with needle holders.

 The product consists of tube, lancet,  connecting base, protective cover, upper cap, and lower cap. At its core is a penetrating double-ended lancet tube-one end is a venous puncture lancet (used to pierce the patient's blood vessel), and the other end is a rubber stopper puncture lancet (used to insert a vacuum blood collection tube), with sharp edges at both ends.

During use, insert the pen barrel lancet into the front end of the lancet holder and tighten it to perform venipuncture. After success, push the vacuum blood collection tube through the rear end of the device and the stopper lancet pierces the tube plug, using the negative pressure inside the tube to automatically draw blood into the tube. When multiple blood tubes are needed, only the blood collection tube needs to be changed; there is no need to remove the puncture lancet.

The pen barrel lancet uses a rigid direct-connected needle holder structure. Compared to the butterfly lancet with a tube, this design has less blood flow resistance and faster blood collection speed, making it especially suitable for conventional intravenous blood collection scenarios.

High-quality pen type lancets feature a thin-walled design-larger inner diameter and higher flow rate for the same outer diameter, helping to shorten blood collection time and reduce the risk of red blood cell rupture due to compression (hemolysis).

Automatic retraction: After blood collection is complete, the plug on the needle holder is turned to release the spring, retracting the puncture lancet and needle holder into the inner barrel, so the lancet tip is no longer exposed, completely eliminating the risk of needle injury.

Safety protective sleeve type: A retractable safety protective sleeve is added to the needle holder. After blood collection, it is snapped on to cover the exposed lancet tip to prevent secondary contamination and accidental injury.
