What Is an EDTA Blood Collection Tube?

This whole blood vacuum collection tube delivers contamination-free, intact original blood samples for clinical assays and eliminates the need for plasma-cell separation. The product range covers two variants: purple-capped EDTA Tubes and black-capped ESR Tubes.

The EDTA Tube serves as the primary collection vessel for clinical hematology testing, most commonly complete blood count (CBC) examinations. We deploy automated precision dispensing equipment to uniformly coat tube interiors with additives, securing consistent mixing performance and reliable anticoagulation. A key operational advantage is its cap-closed sampling capability: the tube can be loaded directly onto hematology analyzers without uncapping.
