Basic Structure
Bottle stopper puncture: inserts the infusion bottle/bag stopper to establish a drug outlet channel.
Inlet device (including air filter): allows air to enter the bottle to maintain pressure balance while filtering airborne particles.
Infusion Line: Upper tube (connects to the bottle) and lower tube (connects to the patient), flexible plastic catheter.
Drip hopper (drip pot): A transparent container used to observe drip rate and act as an air collector to prevent bubbles from entering blood vessels.
Flow regulator (roller clamps): controls flow rate by changing the degree of pipeline compression.
Solution filter: Located at the patient's end, the membrane pore size is usually 15μm, filtering particles in the solution.
External cone connector: connects the infusion needle or catheter.
Infusion needle (optional): terminal component for puncture veins.


Working Principle
During use, the infusion bottle is suspended at least 1 meter above the patient's puncture site. Under the combined effects of atmospheric pressure and gravity, the liquid inside the bottle flows into the dropper via the tubing. When the pressure of the liquid column inside the hopper exceeds the intravenous pressure, the liquid continues along the tubing and flows into the IV through the infusion needle. The dropper allows medical staff to intuitively monitor the number of drops per minute, while the flow regulator is used to adjust the speed.
Application
The core purpose of medical disposable infusion sets is to infuse patients' medications, nutrient solutions, electrolyte solutions, etc. intravenously, making them one of the most common methods of medication delivery in emergencies, hospitalizations, and various clinical treatments. From fluid resuscitation, antibiotic infusions to chemotherapy administration, infusion sets are indispensable access tools.

Design Concept

Material safety
Traditional infusion sets use polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the main raw material, with both the dropper and piping made of PVC. To improve PVC flexibility, 30%-40% phthalate (DEHP) plasticizer is typically added during production. However, DEHP has been proven to have potential biological hazards, especially for newborns, pregnant women, and patients requiring long-term infusions, where DEHP precipitation may pose health risks.
Our factory is promoting material upgrades:TPE (High-Performance Polyolefin Thermoplastic Elastomer): Flexible without the need for DEHP, considered a safer choice.
Clinical adaptation
Precision filtration: For children, the elderly, and critically ill patients, we provide precision filtration infusion sets with a filtration accuracy of ≥5μm.
Special drug infusion: Equip photosensitive drugs with light-shielded infusion sets and high-viscosity nutrient solutions with dedicated nutrition infusion sets.
